You are on VET Sector Awards

Sponsorship Terms

These Sponsorship Terms apply to organisations that sponsor, or enquire about sponsoring, VET Sector Awards. Sponsorship aligns your brand with the recognition of excellence, contribution and innovation across Australia’s vocational education and training sector. This page explains how sponsorship is arranged, paid for and delivered, and the position on cancellation, so that both parties enter a partnership with clear expectations.

Who sponsorship is for

Sponsorship is open to organisations that serve or support the Australian VET community and wish to be visible to the trainers, providers, employers and sector leaders who participate in the awards. Current package tiers — Principal Partner, Gold Sponsor, Silver Sponsor and single-category partnerships — are described on the sponsorship page, and packages can be tailored to your goals.

How sponsorship is arranged

Sponsorship begins with an enquiry through the sponsorship page or contact page. The awards team will discuss your objectives and confirm the agreed package, benefits, fees and timelines in a written sponsorship agreement or confirmation. No sponsorship is binding until that written confirmation is issued. If anything in these terms conflicts with your signed sponsorship agreement, the signed agreement prevails.

Fees and payment

Sponsorship fees are quoted and agreed individually and are invoiced by Career Calling International Pty Ltd under the written agreement. No sponsorship payments are taken through this website — the site does not include a checkout or payment facility. Invoices are payable by the due date shown, and GST is applied as required by law.

Cancellation and refunds

Because sponsorship benefits begin to be delivered from confirmation (including logo placement, promotion and production work), the following position applies unless your written agreement says otherwise. A sponsor may cancel by written notice; fees for benefits already delivered or committed — such as printed collateral, published promotion or reserved ceremony entitlements — are not refundable, and the balance of unused fees will be refunded or credited at the organiser’s discretion, applied fairly. If the organiser cancels the awards ceremony and it is not rescheduled, sponsors will be offered a pro-rata refund or credit for undelivered benefits. Nothing in this policy limits rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Delivery of benefits

The organiser will deliver the benefits listed in the written agreement with reasonable care and skill. Where a specific benefit becomes impracticable — for example, a program change or venue change — the organiser will offer a substitute benefit of equivalent value. Sponsors are responsible for supplying logos, artwork and copy by the deadlines requested; late supply may limit what can be delivered.

Brand use

Each party grants the other a limited licence to use its name and logo solely to promote the awards and the sponsorship, in accordance with any brand guidelines supplied. Neither party may imply an endorsement beyond the sponsorship itself, and use of the VET Sector Awards name outside the agreed scope requires written approval.

Sponsorship and judging are separate

Sponsorship confers profile, not preference. Sponsors and their related entities may enter the awards, but sponsorship has no influence on judging outcomes, as set out in the Judging Disclaimer. Category sponsors do not score entries in the categories they sponsor.

Information we collect from sponsors

Through sponsorship enquiries we collect business contact details, organisation information and the materials needed to deliver the agreed benefits. This information is handled in line with our Privacy Policy and is not sold or shared beyond what delivery of the sponsorship requires.
